A proud member for nearly a decade, Monique has dedicated the past seven years to serving as both an educator and a union steward. Now, as part of an all-women executive board, she remains committed to fostering unity, advocating for union rights, and guiding the lodge into its next chapter.
Beyond her union work, Monique has been happily married for nearly 20 years and is a devoted mother of three. She has a passion for travel, cooking, and hairstyling—a skill she has honed since the age of 13. We are excited for the leadership and dedication she brings to this role and look forward to the positive impact she will continue to make.
Communicator – Christopher Torres
A South Texas native with a passion for surfing, skateboarding, and golf, he is a dedicated aviation professional with deep roots in the industry. Immersed in aviation since the age of 17, his first independent residence was a trailer behind a hangar at the local county airport.
His career has spanned cargo operations, private aviation, and commercial aviation. He participated in the Emerging Leader Program at Southwest Airlines in his 20s, gaining experience as a Customer Service Supervisor in MSY and a Team Lead at the OKC Call Center. He has also worked in LAS Provisioning, the SAN Command Center, and as a Supervisor of Ramp Operations in Seattle.
Now a Communications Coordinator and CSA with Alaska Airlines for nearly five years, he is a vocal advocate for his union brothers and sisters. A devoted Jimmy Buffett fan, he embodies a laid-back yet driven spirit.
